Claire uses evidence-based protocols grounded in contextual behavioural science principles when providing occupational therapy intervention to clients, ensuring a strong foundation on which to slowly regain or develop work or independent living skills.

She specializes in providing targeted intervention to clients with mental health conditions, in particular, those who have developed anxiety and/or depression following the development of a physical impairment or chronic pain.

When a client presents with concurrent physical impairment and/or chronic pain, intervention incorporates adaptive skills training, such energy conservation techniques, task pacing strategies, equipment prescription and pain management.
